'Dies Irae' from Mozart's Requiem has been used in many films throughout History. This is a good example: the opening scene from 'X-Men 2'.
The expression 'Dies Irae' comes from Latin, meaning 'The day of wrath'.
Here is another version, with the lyrics and the music of the choir written:
Hi, I'm Jimena Rodriguez, I wanted to tell you a very interesting fact about this song, to interpret it, it is necessary 11 choirs because it is a very difficult song. What I like most about this song, in also to all the mystery it conveys, is that it transports you to that time.
ReplyDeleteExcellent point Jimena!!
